Ballinger Canyon                           back to the beginning

Ballinger Campground is part of the off-highway vehicle area on the Mt. Pinos Ranger District. Ballinger and Deer Park areas are geared toward OHV use. These areas provide 11 4WD roads, 12 ATV trails, and 14 motorcycle trails. Access to 4WD roads is available to both ATVs and motorcycles, and access to ATV trails is available to motorcycles.

CAMPGROUND: contains 20 units with tables, fire rings, and vault toilets. The site is open all year on a first-come, first-served basis.

DIRECTIONS:  from Taft, CA: Travel 8 miles south on Highway 33. Continue south for 13 miles after Highway 33 joins Highway 166. Turn south to stay on Highway 33 and travel about 4 miles south and turn left (east). Located at the end of Ballinger Canyon Road (FS 9N10), approximately 3.5 miles east of State Highway 33.
