JAWBONE CANYON                                    back to the beginning 

 

JAWBONE CANYON consists of about 7,000 acres of open-use public land. Camping allowed anywhere in the OHV area, with a maximum of 14 days.

TYPES OF VEHICLES: Motorcycles, ATV's, 4WD, and Dune buggies. Some trails are limited to motorcycles and ATV's only. Be sure and check map you receive from ranger.

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY: Intermediate - Advanced. The rocky hills make for challenging terrain.

DIRECTIONS: From LA Take HWY5 North to Hwy 14 toward Palmdale for about 100 miles From HWY5/HWY405 Interchange. Approx 10 miles outside of California City Look for sign (see picture below).
